The Safety & Recruiting Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Safety & Recruiting Manager. The position will assist in maintaining compliance with state, federal and employer safety regulations and policies as well as assisting in recruiting and orientation.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Filter in-bound phone calls
  • Assist in Recruiting and retention efforts
  • Assist in the overall process of orientation including filing and ensuring documents are signed and accurate
  • Expert with tablets and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
  • Assist in the oversight of driver logs and HOS compliance
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports and other correspondence
  • Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, appointments and events
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
  • Maintain updated safety policies and provide training to drivers
  • Data entry into excel data bases
  • Assist in renewing licensing, permits, certifications, and forwarding all renewed forms to the proper locations, permit books and other equipment as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • CDL A is a plus but not mandatory
