The Safety & Recruiting Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Safety & Recruiting Manager.  The position will assist in maintaining compliance with state, federal and employer safety regulations and policies. 

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Filter phone calls
  • Communicate on behalf of the person they support
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports and other correspondence
  • Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
  • Data entry into excel data bases
  • Assist with troubleshooting telecom issues
  • Assists in renewing licensing, permits, certifications, and forwarding all renewed forms to the proper locations, permit books and other equipment as needed
  • Maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, appointments and events
  • Assist in the oversight of driver logs and HOS compliance
  • Maintain updated safety policies and provide training to drivers
  • Provide safety, recruiting & orientation support
  • Other duties as assigned
