The Yard Help position is responsible for maintaining organization in the terminal yard by performing the following duties

 

Responsibilities:

• Move Tractors as needed in yard
• Spotting inbound and outbound trailers
• Organize and keep yard free flowing and organized
• Expedite trailers/trucks to shop for shop associates
• Must have good communication with other associates
• Provide excellent customer service to Simon’s drivers and shop associates
• Additional work-related tasks as needed
• General cleaning of shop, restroom, drivers lounge, yard dogs
• Clean & organize warehouse and yard
• Warehouse help when not driving—unloading and loading of trailers
• Rotate used inventory as needed
• All other duties assigned

 

Qualifications

•  Must have a strong work ethic
• Previous experience driving trailers preferred
• Previous experience with pallet jacks and forklifts preferred
• Must have ability to work as a positive team member, demonstrate a positive attitude and have a strong working knowledge of present warehouse equipment and processes
• Must be able to read and write and possess analytical skills to determine work flow and process data entry instructions
• Must be able to life and carry up to 50lbs
