All too frequently these days, we are overloaded with news of the negative events in the world. Whether it's related to the economy, government, or our personal lives the negativity can be hard to miss. In light of this, we've decided to take a moment to celebrate the triumphs we've witnessed here at Simon's Trucking in 2024 and to share some of the exciting events we have lined up for the remainder of the year.

Best Fleets to Drive For
We started 2024 on a high note. Not only was Simon's Trucking nominated for Best Fleet to Drive For, but we were also recognized as a FINALIST! This means that out of the thousands of fleets nominated we were in the TOP 60! This was the first year our company was nominated and out of 3 Dubuque area companies nominated, we were the only company in our area that made the finalist list.
Cream of the Crop 2024
More recently we received a wonderful email from Iowa Farmers Today, a Nebraska based agriculture publication. The Cream of the Crop contest was a reader's choice competition where readers of the publication were asked to nominate and then vote for their favorite companies from across Iowa. There were thousands of nominations, tens of thousands of votes and Simon’s Trucking came in 2nd!!! Landing us the title of FAVORITE trucking company in the State of Iowa!
What's Next?
For the remainder of 2024 we are hoping to continue on this journey of recognition, reducing our CSA score, and so much more.
One key factor in achieving this continuation of CSA reduction is our Safety and Recruiting Manager, Lexi. Just last week we were informed that Lexi has been nominated for the Safety Professional of the Year award through the Iowa Motor Truck Association. The winner of this award will be announced at the IMTA Management Conference Gala on September 5th, and we wish her the very best of luck. We couldn't think of a more deserving individual and are lucky to have her as the backbone of Safety
here at Simon's!
September also brings Driver Appreciation Week. This year we have been put together so many amazing things to celebrate our drivers and their dedication to our team here at Simon's Trucking. We have multiple giveaways throughout the week and will be ending our celebrations with a dinner and awards evening where we get to celebrate all of the milestones and achievements that our drivers have seen throughout the last year. Our drivers are the backbone of our operation and without them, none of the above achievements would have been possible in 2024. It has been a wonderful year here so far and we cannot wait to see wait the remaining
4 months and beyond will bring.
