It all started with 2 trucks.
Family owned and operated since the beginning in 1946, Simon's Trucking has grown significantly throughout the years. What started as 2 trucks hauling bag feed to help local farmers has grown to a 115-truck operation that you see today.
The late Roger Simon took over in 1970 at the age of 18 and started growing the fleet by purchasing fertilizer and van trailers. In 1989, Roger expanded his hopper fleet when he purchased Simon's Grain and Feed in Manchester, IA. By 1996 the fleet quickly doubled to 25 power units, and he didn't stop there. In 1998 Roger added a 12,000 sq. ft. temperature-controlled building for warehouse cross docking, something we were unable to offer our customers until then.
By the early 2000's Simon's Trucking was booming. Roger and his crew added a maintenance facility, truck wash & detail shop which enabled us to keep our equipment in top condition here on-site.
Although things look significantly different these days compared to how it all started when George Simon Sr. was at the helm, Simon's Trucking still takes pride in being the same family-oriented company that we were at the beginning. Today we have 115 trucks and over 300 trailers in operation and we feel that we have some of the best equipment and drivers on the road today.
